iOS Bootcamp – Week 03

For whatever reason this post disappeared into the nether. Or did I dream making it? Are ghosts real? ANYWAY!

So during Week 3, I buckled down and learned Git using Terminal. XCode does have version control built in, but its always nice to learn the typical way to do something. Plus, I’ve always wanted to learn to use Terminal. It’s always been this mythical process that I saw people using in the forums and I felt like a toddler whenever I had it open to do anything. Mind you, I still feel that way, but at least I understand the basics.

The third project is looming ahead and while I feel like I’ve made good progress, I am worried that I am just copy and pasting a lot of code and not really picking up the logic. So next week will be back to Treehouse to finish up my unfinished tutorials there. The higher up exercises in Treehouse produce apps, so I will be posted the work as I go in that respect.

The learning was also slow this week because of some issues with my back and the fact that our little cattle dog was spayed. Lots of distractions. I have a plan on how to combat that coming soon. That’s it for now! STAY TUNED!
